Bates Nut Farm Pumpkin Patch, Valley Center
The patch is open from Thursday, September 17 through Saturday, October 31, 2026, and families have been visiting since 1963, with generations returning each fall. This is one of my favorite evenings of the year. It's a self-guided tasting tour through Carlsbad Village on Thursday, October 8, with signature bites, desserts, craft beer, wine, and cocktails. The City of Solana Beach and the La Colonia Community Foundation have a community event on the calendar for October 18. Carlsbad Village Street Faire, November 1
Recognized as the largest one-day street faire in the nation, it draws more than 100,000 visitors to Grand Avenue and State Street. Racing returns to "where the turf meets the surf" this fall. The 2026 Bing Crosby Season runs November 6–29, with the FanDuel Racing Turf Festival over November 26–29. Fall closes out on the 101. The one-day Holiday Street Fair is set for November 22, 2026, stretching along six blocks of South Coast Highway 101, just two blocks from the ocean.
